Visatupa - Winter activity

Day 1	Winter Games Day · After breakfast cross-country skiing or a short walk with a pair of snowshoes in the neighbourhood · Snowmobile sledge ride in the forest and a quick driving lesson · Coffee break in main building · Heating the sauna: breaking the lake’s ice for swimming, chopping the firewood, carrying the water from lake to sauna and making the fire in the stoves in the sauna and livingroom · Dinner at 4.00 p.m. in the main building In the evening · Finnish sauna including swimming in the lake from a hole through the ice · Small sandwich and coffee after sauna
Day 2	Ice-fishing Day · After breakfast ice-fishing in the lake: becoming acquainted with the use of fishing equipment, handling the catch · Coffee break by the camp fire: making pancakes on the fire or grilling Finnish sausage · After coffee can continue fishing or try cross-country skiing or snowshoewalking in the surrounding nature · Dinner at 4.00 p.m. in the main building · Finnish sauna including swimming in the lake in a hole through the ice · Small sandwich and coffee after sauna
Day 3	Day in the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi (Not on Mondays) · After breakfast departure to Rovaniemi · Before Arctic Circle stop at a reindeer farm, where reindeer sledge ride, Lapland ceremony and coffee service · Visit to Santa Claus' Village at Arctic Circle (1-2 hours) and Arktikum (2-3 hours) · Arrival in Visatupa and dinner at 5.00 p.m. · Customer needs to buy entrance tickets · Visatupa can assist arranging transportation
Day 4	Day in a reindeer and husky sledge dog park · After breakfast departure to Pyhä-Luosto Husky and Reindeer Park · Presentation of the reindeer farm, coffee by the fire, reindeer sledge ride and feeding the reindeers · Presentation of the husky sledge dog farm, dog sledge ride (can choose different length of drives in advance) and coffee · Distance from Visatupa approx. 55 km ~ 50 minutes by car · Visatupa can assist arranging transportation
	Here are few examples of how you can spend a winter day in Visatupa. The first two day programs are arranged in Visatupa or in the neighbourhood. These days depends of course of weather conditions, for example, ice-fishing is not so comfortable in a heavy snowstorm or in very cold weather. During the last two days there are possible destinations for day visits. Both directions can be reached by regular buses, but Visatupa can arrange the needed transportation.
